iOS 11 Split Screen workflow

iPad's in the classroom, app smashing example.

One of the coolest features of the iPad's iOS is the split screen function. Available on high end iPads, its a great way for students to multitask on two apps. With the latest update students can also drag items from one window to the other. This works great for images and research projects, negating the need to switch between apps in full screen mode. See the image for a great example of how this feature can be used to app smash two apps. Try yourself by using Artset and Safari. Students can look up a photo, in this case an example of Aboriginal Art, and use it as a reference for their own artistic creations.
