App of the month - ARTSET
September's awesome app is ArtSet. This little gem allows students to create amazing art work without the mess. There's two versions, Normal and Pro. Students can transpose an image and work on it adding their own touches, or simply create a masterpiece. It has all the different brushes and mediums such as acrylic, pastels and charcoal. Purists will tell you that it's not the same as 'real art', but then they probably aren't clearing up after 30 kids on a friday afternoon! :-

Cessnock Public
Lots of classroom based learning taking place up in Cessnock. We placed a focus on students teaching teachers. One of the key concepts being 'Ask three before me'. This frees up the teacher to become a facilitator. The students loved the fact that they were teaching staff. Some amazing moments during our coding sessions where students who had struggled academically, suddenly found that coding was something they excelled at. Goosebump moments for everyone.
